The new revolution has come in speaker technology where Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) had announced the emergent of a new generation speaker earlier this week. The speaker which called Flexpeaker is a nearly paper-thin speaker or to be exact it is less than 0.04 inches thick. What so special about this speaker is that you can bend it and that why it’s called Flexpeaker or Flexible speaker.

Maybe not much we can say about bendable speaker but the potential applications are very stunning! The products that I’m pretty sure will utilized this new technology are audio and video devices. This new technology can make MP3 devices and flat-screen television to look even thinner and also help to make notebooks and PDAs lighter. However, the cool thing that you can actually do with this new technology are varies. The ideas of application such as talking billboards, speaker wallpaper for your house or even wearing a talking clothes!

Perhaps we can start see this new technology in some products by the end of this year and sometimes next year it should be available in consumers products. Hopefully the prices will be affordable by most of us so that everyone could experience this cool technology
