Consumer perception towards AT&T drops during summer 2009
Consumer perception towards AT&T, the carrier provider has dropped lower than it has all year. According to daily YouGov BrandIndex, based on the survey conducted among adults 18 and older, support towards AT&T has dropped sharply compared to its rival, Verizon Wireless. This is due to the urban iPhone overload and data outages during the summer season.
The customers perception is measured by averaging scores in feedback to questions about the quality, value, satisfaction, recommendation, reputation and impression of a brand. It is said that AT&T has always lagged behind Verizon Wireless, but the gap began widening obviously in mid-June, according to the collected data. Between June 16 and Sept. 10, AT&T’s Index score dropped from 18.3 to 14.6, “a substantial drop for this kind of score,” a BrandIndex spokesman said. However, Verizon’s score dropped less than two points’ worth in the same time period. read full news at blogs.zdnet.com
